Lorgba Holiday Cottage

Welcome to Islay, the most southerly of the Inner Hebrides, where you will find that special holiday you're looking for on an unspoilt island which has retained much of its Gaelic culture.

Explore the island's ever changing beauty, from the wild coastal cliffs and long sandy beaches to woods, loch shores and sheltered bays. Islay is a paradise for naturalists and bird watchers; over 250 species of birds have been recorded, including the Golden Eagle and Chough. Loch Gruinart, winter home of many thousands of Greenland and Spitzbergen geese, is a specially designated RSPB reserve.

Discover the Hebridean magic of the Island of Islay in the freedom of your own holiday cottage near the charming 19th century village of Port Charlotte. From the cottage windows, there are panoramic views across the loch to the hills on the Mull of Oa, the Paps of Jura and, on a clear day, the North Antrim coastline.

Imagine stepping out of your cottage to a wide sweeping lawn and to a beautiful safe sandy bay. Listen to the lap of the tide on the shore and the call of the seabirds and later see a sky filled with stars and the moonlight shimmering across Loch Indaal.
